Da'Zhane Johnson

From the west coast of Sacramento, California, writer Da’Zhane Johnson is currently a sophomore Mass Media Arts Major with a Journalism concentration at Clark Atlanta University in Atlanta, Georgia. Born the same day as J.Cole’s January 28th album, her music taste is very different. If you were to look at her most recently played music, you would find a lot of Tinashe, Trippie Redd and some songs off of Doja Cat’s new album. Being only nineteen, Johnson has high hopes of being a digital producer at CNN, and eventually a writer for VICE Magazine, her ultimate goal. Da’Zhane became apart of The Voiced Society last February with it being run by black teens for teens that caught her attention because of the new and different perspectives that come with it. She currently serves as a writer taking an interest in more stories relating to social issues. Aside from The Voiced Society, Da’Zhane is very involved at Clark Atlanta University where she is a campus correspondent at HerCampus CAU, a member of Breaking the Cycle, a community-based organization, and NABJ.
