Most Anticipated Album Release for 2020

2019 was a jampacked year for music, we had so many good albums and new artists. We got Albums from Tyler the Creator, Young Thug, Ybn Cordae, Roddy Rich, Summer Walker, Lucky Daye, and a lot more. But by the looks of it, 2020 may take it up another notch. Here are the artists we are patiently waiting for their album to drop in 2020.

Big Sean- 📷

Sean has not dropped an album since 2017. The Detriot rapper took a much-needed break from the limelight after dropping I Decide. Sean had gone ghost on social media in 2018 while he was broken up with his then-girlfriend Jhene Aikio. No one knew what was happening until early 2019 when he posted a series of videos explaining his reasoning for his break. Sean said that he was going through “Depression and Anxiety”. He went to Twitter to further explain: "I never knew that I didn't know how to be alone in life," he tweeted in July, four months after Aiko announced the couple's split. "I always would find so much joy n happiness in a relationship or be with friends, but I didn't know how important it was to be in a relationship with yourself." with his comeback to social media sean has hinted that he has been in the lab. He then drops a freestyle called “Overtime” where he shows the world that he got some bars cooking up. He then dropped “Single Again” and “Bezerk” both singles off the album DON LIFE. The album has yet to have a release date but it is rumored to drop in early 2020.

PartyNextDoor- 📷

It has been a long time since we’ve heard from Party. Seven Days was the last full-length project. That project did pretty decent but wasn’t as praised as his more famous albums: Partynextdoor, Partynextdoor2, Partynextdoor 3(P3). After the release of seven days, he did a couple of features then also stepped back from music. Party was never really a loud guy. He kind of stayed behind the scenes for the most part. Through 2018 he was semi-active on social media. And for the majority of 2019, he went ghost. Then in November, he drops two new singles.

Loyal and The News. the single Loyal had his OVO boss Drake on it was an afro-beats feel to the track. It sounded like a really summertime song. The other single TheNews felt more like a throwback to P3. which is more of low sounding beats and much slower than loyal. We don’t know the title of his next album but he went to twitter to tell everyone that they can expect the album in January.

Rhianna-  

Rhianna has been away from music for a long time. But its important to know what she’s been doing with her time off. She created and released Fenty beauty which was an all-inclusive makeup brand. Then she dropped Fenty which is a lingerie and luxury clothing brand.📷 So is easy to say she has been pretty busy. Besides, fans can’t wait any longer for new Rhianna. Anti was her last full body of work. Anti sold 160,000 copies the first week and was number one on billboards top 200. It’s easy to say that Anti was a successful album. Since then people have been wanting to hear a followup to anti. It has since become a meme on Twitter joking about when she will drop another album. In late December she joined in on the jokes as she posted a video of a dog bobbing its head with a caption “Me listening to R9 by myself and refusing to release it”. At this point, she is just teasing her fans and its working. We don’t have a release date for R9 but the possibility that it drops in 2020 is high.

Bryson Tiller-  📷

Bryson Tiller impacted the R&B scene hardback in 2015 with his release of Trapsoul. With the release of Trapsoul, everyone fell in love with the album. With singles like Don’t, Rambo, And Exchange. This was the album that put him on the map and everyone agrees it’s his best body of work. After two years people wanted more music from him. So in 2017 Tiller dropped True to self. The album its self is good. The first week numbers weren’t the best and that’s due to people thinking it was Trapsoul 2 when True to Self was its own thing. So after that, he kind of stepped back from the music and limelight. Just like PARTYNEXTDOOR Bryson was a people person. He rarely did interviews with radio stations and for the most part, didn’t talk much. He didn’t post on social media a lot in 2017 and 2018 he didn’t post as much. Tiller has said that he dealt with some mental health issues. He dealt with depression before recording True to Self his sophomore album and he started to talk about it with his fans on Twitter. Since then Tiller has dropped some singles in 2018 and has been more active in social media talking about music and 📷how he’s creating more. He has said before that the upcoming album would be called Serenity. We have yet to get a release date from Bryson but it feels like 2020 may be the year for some Serenity.
