Rihanna's not making music, she's making history

There have been multiple comments from fans on the presence of recording artist, Rihanna's music career. Fans are upset the singer has put a pause on dropping music, however, the star is not concerned. Unlike other artists, Rihanna has not gone viral and then disappeared into a has been. Robyn Fenty (Rihanna), has become a popular name in the world of business. She's not making music, she's making history.

Barbados born singer, Rihanna, has been in the music industry for 14 years becoming a pop icon and influential contemporary recording artist. The artists' last album, Anti (2016), was the last time we heard major work from her. This has caused fans to become weary of her next moves in the music realm.

Since her last album, Ms. Fenty has dabbled in a plethora of endeavors outside the music.

She has done a few on-screen appearances. She did the voiceover for Tip in the children's fantasy film, Home. She stared in Valerian, Oceans 8, and Guava Islands making herself more familiar in the world of Hollywood.

In 2014, Rihanna released her collaboration with Puma, Fenty x Puma, as a brand ambassador with her suede creeper sneaker and slides line that went viral. People everywhere were seen in them.

Shortly after in 2017, Rihanna launched her beauty line, Fenty Beauty. The line was successful due to its unique 40 foundation shades that made other cosmetic brands add more shade diversity to their products after failing to do so in the beginning. Since the release of Fenty Beauty in 2017, more products are constantly being released every month to this day forcing other brands to catch up.

Last year, Rihanna launched her lingerie line Savage x Fenty, creating over 90 pieces of lingerie-wear for women all of shapes and sizes.

Just when we thought she couldn't do anymore, she dropped a bomb on us all. This month, Rihanna announced that she is joining French luxury fashion and lifestyle company LVMH to launch her own fashion house. This will make Rihanna the first woman to create a label with LVMH, the first woman of color at the top of an LVMH Maison and the first house made by LVMH since Christian Lacroix in 1987.

The multifaceted icon told Instagram,

"Big day for the culture. thank you Mr. Arnault for believing in this little girl from the left side of an island, and for giving me the opportunity to grow with you at LVMH."

And to think, we were all complaining about an album. Rihanna is taking over every industry and doing it without any caution. From the sidelines, we can see a number of reasons why her successful endeavors are so inspiring. Being a little girl from Barbados as she said, she is not forgetting her roots as she grows in her success. She has paved a way for everyday children with big dreams showing them that it is possible. She found the cracks in beauty and fashion by not having diversity, inclusiveness, variation, and representation for all and filled them. She has also shown that one does not have to stick to the guidelines and rules of having one career, one business, or to stick in their lane. She has inspired us all to go above and beyond, not letting the stereotypes keep us from achieving what we were each meant to do.
